Korea offers 14,000 jobs to Filipinos
Dagupeños and Pangasinenses alike now have the chance to realize their lifelong dream of working in Korea while earning big.
The Department of Labor and Employment recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Labor in Korea allotting more than 14,000 jobs for Filipino Workers in Korea.
According to Mr. Kin Dae-Hwan, Minister of Labor in Korea, the said country is in dire need of 10,000 factory workers, 3,000 construction workers, 1000 workers in agriculture and livestock farming with an additional manpower in the field of refrigeration and other services.
Interested applicants, 18 to 38 years old and at least high school graduate, are required to attend the free admission Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS) on January 14, 2 p.m. at the Dagupan Water District & Training Center located at Tambac District, Dagupan City. Raffle prizes await lucky applicants.
To avoid illegal recruitment, the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), the only sending agency for qualified workers, designates the Employment Permit System (EPS) for hiring foreign workers to Korea with an assurance of being legally employed, no placement fees and protection by the Korean Labor Law.
Under the EPS, the most important requirement for hiring is passing the Korean Language Test where training will be provided by the TESDA-accredited Korean Language & Culture Training Center (KLC).
The KLC training center garnered the highest the passing rate of 98% during the first Korean Language Test.
Schedule for the next examination is on February 19, 2006.

Sir/Madam,
I would like to ask the re-scheduled date (if there is already)for the Korean Language Test, which was the original scheduled last February 19, 2006.
Hoping a favorable action on this matter.
Respectfully yours,
Evelyn Acibar
